Matchbox / Revell 1/76 Sherman Firefly (by Gürkan Özkan)

Hello,

Its a variant of American Sherman tank. British tank designers fitted a huge gun in it, a 3 inch pounder anti tank gun. Fireflys production was started in 1944. More than 2000 have been used in British Army.
Its gun was really quite effective, the germans easily hunted the shermans, but if it was a Sherman firefly it was not easy for them.

The Revell 1/76, It's an ex-Matchbox. (Kit number : PK71)

 Not many parts, the detail is not good. The wheels and tracks are so many, but doesnt show any quality. The Revell 76 kits are hard to beat.

I'm not satisfied with the details. So I have to add some. I cut some places, I do something extra, I worked for the hand made materials may fit to the model.

I used acrylics, and I painted by brush. After the paint, I used oil colors. Then I used pigments. It was a very simple model, I add some extras to see a more detailed model. I think I done it.

The drums, sandbags and the others make the model more beautiful
